Andover blue win in shoot out drama

Andover travelled to Thatcham to play their first round cup game against Thatcham harriers. Thatcham started fast and scored from thier first attack. Scoring a fine goal. Andover pushed for a equaliser but found themselves two down soon after, after another quick break from Thatcham and another cool finish. Andover had most of the possession after this and peppered the goal and got a goal back after great pace from Louis Harvey forced a fine save from the goalkeeper but Harry Perry being on hand to fire home the rebound. Noah may hit the post and maxwell Andrews came close but to no avail. Andover started the second half a goal down and were level after a left footed Henry Youd shot was turned in by Harvey. Andover and Thatcham both looked for a winner but a nervey finish meant it went to penalties. Andover composed themselves and Perry stepped up for the first and fired it passed the keeper. Liam crabb then saved thatchams first. 1-0. Up next was captain Henry Youd who despatched his penalty despite slipping. Thatcham scored theirs 2-1. Noah may stepped up and scored in the top corner and Liam crabb saved again. 3-1. Maxwell Andrews stepped up and scored. Then with Liam crabb saving making it 4-1 it gave Thatcham no chance of winning and the Andover boys celebrated.
