Hatchwarren Phoenix Fire FC vs. Andover Town Youth FC Under 11 Whites

Leigh Williams Windows sponsored Andover Town Youth FC White U11 continued their season with an away match against Hatchwarren Phoenix Fire. Andover were without a number of key players and were down to nine players in total and were under no illusions that this would be a difficult game. Hatchwarren started the game strongly and a number of excellent saves from Joseph Lyons kept the scores level at 0-0. Hatchwarren were having the run of the ball and scored first to take the lead and soon added to this to take the score to 2-0. Man of the Match Freddie Randall was causing Hatchwarren problems down the left wing but was unable to play Harry Cable in on goal. Two further goals form Hatchwarren so Andover end the first half 4-0 down. Andover started the second half more brightly and immediately pressuring the Hatchwarren goal. Harry Cable was brought down in the box and stepped up to convert the penalty to open Andover’s account. A number of excellent saves from Hatchwarren saw Andover denied a second goal from a string of corners. Andover finally scored their second goal through a header from Luke Collins to open his scoring for the season. Hatchwarren ran out 7-2 winners in the end on a difficult day for Andover with a number of lessons to take back to the training field.
