Welcome to all the children and parents of Andover Town Youth Football Club, and a special welcome to all those who are joining us for their first season.
The Club had a very successful 2018/19 season, in which the player numbers continued to grow, team performances improved and our youth players developed their football and love of the beautiful game in a fun and safe environment.
At the end of last season Simon Timms (Chairman), and Carol Lunn (Treasurer) stood down from their positions on the Committee and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking them for all of their hard work over the years and making our club what it is today.
Their departure has seen a new Committee take shape and our aim is to continue to make this club a fun, friendly and professional football environment for the development of all the children and parents alike.
In Addition the following coaches have also left the club as their teams have come to the end of their Grassroots journey, or they have passed the mantle on to new coaches, and we would like to wish the following coaches all the best for the future, and remind them that they are always welcome back to the Andover Town Youth FC family in the future, should they wish: Wayne Smith, Kev Brown, and Paul Eyles.
Over the summer break, the Committee, Managers and Coaches continued to work hard preparing for the upcoming season and beyond.
The safety, welfare, continuing technical development of our players and the enjoyment of the game by all are the Club’s priorities. The Club adheres to the FA’s Charter Standard for Clubs.
This pack has been designed to inform you of how the club works, who has what responsibility, who to contact if you need help, our codes of conduct, safeguarding policies and much more.
We ask you to take the time to read through the Club’s Policies and Codes of Conduct, and where necessary to discuss them with your child to make sure they are understood.
The Committee meet regularly throughout the season to discuss current performance, future plans and resolve any issues that may arise. All Managers and Coaches are encouraged to attend the open meetings as often as possible to ensure the smooth running and ongoing success of the club and will feed any relevant information back to the parents and children.
It is only with the commitment of all players, Managers, members and supporters, that the legacy of ATYFC will be upheld, flourish and build for the future.
I hope you find this information pack useful and we look forward to a fun, friendly and professional year ahead for Andover Town Youth Football Club.
